Theses New Puritans

These New Puritans video, directed by Daniel Askill. Totally in love with the Jordan Askill helmet.

Talented family...

Gary Card for Swatch!

My most dear friend and set designer extraordinaire Mr Gary Card was banging on about designing these watches for Swatch aaaages ago. Anyway, they've finally actually released the damn things. Aren't they lovely!

I think they're not available as yet, but when they are, i suggest you go and purchase every single one of em.

Kaye Donachie

I've been slightly obsessed with the work of Glaswegian born painter Kaye Donachie of late.
Sort of reminds me of Ryan McGinley's photography in a way. A strange ethereal beauty about them, that somehow captures a spirit of youth, perhaps a spirit thats now gone forever.

Anyway, needless to say, I was rather excited to learn that she has a new exhibition opening at the ever wonderful Maureen Paley gallery in London on the 27th Feb.

The first time I'm seriously considering purchasing artwork...

Way too excited.

Vannessa Bruno SS10 Film

I love that film is getting more and more attention as a valid medium in fashion. It's done appallingly badly rather a lot. With a few exceptions. This being a rather stunning example of it going spectacularly well. Plus, Lou Doillon, what's not to love...

GOLD

WOW.

Phew...

It's been a busy month...

Shot the Ben Sherman SS10 Campaign with the very lovely Anya Ziourova and Nagi Sakai, who's work can be seen here and here.

Then shot off to Bologna (hell hole, never go.) for the Aglini SS10 campaign with the equally delightful Van Mossevelde +N team

Then popped off to Vegas for the All Saints SS10 Campaign, strip clubs and limos were involved, say no more...

Amongst this managed to get to Milan and Paris (for the real job) to work on Costume National and MiharaYasuhiro and in between the two, shot for Vogue Hommes Japan with the ever delightful James D Kelly, Tank with Damien Blottiere, Hanna Ter Maulen with Malcolm Pate, and the Cruise shops campaign with Julia Kennedy.

Somehow I even managed to move house (again) amongst all this...

What's even better, is that somewhere between Milan and Paris, my camera went 'missing' so there's not one single picture of any of this...

FUCK.

Cosmic Dust

Calvin Kleins Landing page was looking particularly attractive today, turns out its all about Cosmic Dust, an installation/film by the French multi-media artist Hedi Farjani.
Nice to see some massive corporate backing going to some good places.

Anyway, besides the film, I love the landing page layout... This is probably the first and last time I'll say that Calvin Klein is truly having a calming effect on me.

HOLY MOUNTAIN

So there's this mountain in Borneo or the Phillapenes or something, everyone thinks its really really really lucky if you go and put a crucifix on the mountain. Makes your prayers come true. The works.

People travel from all over to come and put a crucifix on it and pray.
Totally amazing!!!
Love the difference in them, amazing, grand, huge ones, to some pencils tied together.

Love Love Love.

Make up, make up, never ever break up.

I don't know who did this, what for, why, nothing. Not a thing....
But you can't help but love a Lichetenstein come to life! Apparently whoever did it, did it with MAC Products though. If that kind of thing interests you...
